How To Make Nameless Folder
Before attempting this trick, try to make a folder with no name and you will fail to do so. This is what this trick will let you do. Below is screenshot of folder before and after doing this interesting trick.
- Make a Newfolder on desktop or where ever you want.
- Right click on this newly created folder and select Rename.
- Erase the text showing "New Folder".
- Now keep Pressing Alt (i.e alter key) and type 255. If you are on laptop then you need to enable your Num Lock and type from the highlighted number keys not from those below function keys.
- After that leave alt key and Press enter.
- Done you just created nameless folder.

@joydev i don't know about win 8. I have tried it on window 7 and Xp. let me know if it works on windows 8

@ravi if you are using laptop make sure Num Lk is turn on and you use that numbers instead of numbers above function keys

I turn Num Lock on but still not working -.-
To Turn Num Lock on press Fn [near ctrl] with Num Lk !!!!
No Num Lock key is one the first line beside F12 key (might be different on your keyboard).

@prasad it works on windows xp as well as windows 7 make sure you are following every steps correctly. Specially if you are using laptop make sure to use Num keys that are printed on alphabates. Check this screenshot Click Here

after rename it,,,,select it n press ALT+ENTER or open it properties n go to da custamize tab n click on da change icon button now search there a button wd blank space,,,select it n apply now u have a nameless n iconless folder,,,!!!

@14akki same way you would delete any other folder.

@blisty it work on laptop as well as PC. You need to turn on Num Lk. Check out above comments in order to do that.
guys when i used this trick then i m able 2 make nameless folder but now i m not able to make new folder anywhere.

there is no numlock in laptop(dell)

@star make sure you are doing all the steps correctly specially using Num pad by turning on Num Lk.
